The Big Game goes Metafeminine

Although not the biggest football watcher, every year I do sit down to enjoy the Super Bowl…and especially the commercials. While Beyonce’s performance didn’t give us any female robots, we did get a couple ads that took care of the otherworldly-womanly charm.

Enjoy.

  1. A genie made out like the chick from LEGALLY BLONDE is just so wrong. Yeah, her sense of ‘literal’ poety justice was on the spot, but I couldn’t buy Kaley Cuoco as a magical anything. Maybe as a victim of magic, but not the producer of one. The robo-babes on the other commercial were fun.

I’d generally agree with that. Although my only complaint about the genie commercial is the outfit. I wouldn’t push for a bikini on national television (despite my personal tastes), but SOMETHING that implies she’s a little more other-worldly would be better.

      Also…genie dog?
